Formed in 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum pop rock band Panic! At The Disco recently released their seventh album, "Viva Las Vengeance".  Alongside the new album, they announced their Viva Las Vengeance tour for 2022-2023 which included 40 shows throughout the US and UK.

This album marked a new era for the band as they hadn't released music since their album Pray for the Wicked in 2018.  The new record took a deeper dive into frontman Brendon Urie's life growing up in Las Vegas, and going through love and fame, with tracks like "Viva Las Vengeance", "Middle Of A Breakup", and "Do It To Death".

Alongside performing all tracks from the new album, the singer did a throwback to their most popular songs such as "Hey Look Ma, I Made It", "Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time", and "High Hopes".  Fans were ecstatic to hear these tunes from the past, especially with the opening track "Say Amen (Saturday Night)" as Urie commenced the show.

Panic! At The Disco is known for their large and theatrical performances that matched the older, moodier sound of their music.  However, with the release of the new album, the band shows off a new brighter image.  With the contrast of the two sounds, the production designers had to make an incredible display that appeased both sides with smooth transitions to carry the audience through.

In order to create this incredible and massive display, lighting would play a key role throughout all three acts, taking fans through the journey of the band's seventeen years in the music industry.  Executing the already spectacular lighting display, Panic! At The Disco's team decided to add special effects, including pyrotechnics and lasers which further excited fans.

Laser Technology

This magnificent fx-heavy tour was thanks to the many creatives on the touring crew and to the team at Image SFX, which provided all the special effects for the tour.  Image SFX is also headquartered in Las Vegas, and located close to the Vegas Strip.  They first entered the touring market in 2011 and have done incredible work on shows for many artists including Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, and Fall Out Boys.  Since entering the industry, they've become a leader in special effect designs and large spectacles, which made them the perfect fit to work with on the Panic! At The Disco tour.

For the Viva Las Vengeance Tour, the laser technology included their impressive fleet of high-powered KVANT laser projectors, including 11x KVANT Spectrum 33 watt RYGB units.  All units were integrated with Pangolin FB4 and programmed by Nick Arnold using Pangolin's BEYOND software.

Image SFX's creativity and knowledge of pyrotechnics and lasers combined with the ideas of the talented production design team brought this incredible production to life, and completely wowed fans that have long awaited the return of Panic! At The Disco.
